FLTMPS E-Learning Course Completion Status Spreadsheet FLTMPS Completion Status (printable single sheet PDF) Good Evening from GMT HQ,
The questions have been pouring into our GMT Question Box lately. Here are two of the top quality questions we have received just this week:
Q: I can’t wait to complete my required Physical Readiness GMT…when will the nice people at NKO release this outstanding material so I can finally prove to my shipmate that you dynamically stretch b4 working out then statically stretch afterwards?
Q: I need a world-class reference on OPSEC….when will the new FY08 OPSEC GMT be published?
A: THE NEW GMT IS FINALLY HERE! Yes they are…the final (5) GMT topics were recently published for your educational pleasure: o Suicide Awareness o Sexual Assault o OPSEC o Physical Readiness o Sexual Harassment
Now we can finally fill in those remaining (5) empty blocks in the attached training matrix (current as of Thursday Apr 03 2008, hopefully one of the attachments will work on your computer). The rest of this email has a wealth of information on GMT. If you have any questions on where to find each of the topics or if you feel you have done more than what is indicated on the matrix, please contact CDRs Barney or Heim at your convenience. Always check to ensure you can see your personalized completion certificate after you complete a topic. You don’t need to give us a paper copy, just visually verify it is there to ensure you are done according to NKO.
Here are some other questions we have received in the GMT Question Box followed by the answers:
I like to wait until the last possible second to do all my GMT to maximize the pain factor. What requirements were PAST DUE as of January 2008?
Excellent question! Referencing the Excel Matrix attached to this email, everything to the left of Tobacco Cessation (TOBAC CESSA) should be complete by now…. (It’s the items in the shaded blocks). This includes IAA, Trafficking in Persons (TIP), Code of Conduct ‘B’ (COC), ATFP and Supervisor ORM (SUPVR ORM). Diversity training also was to be completed ASAP. The remaining items from Tobacco Cessation to Sexual Harassment need to be complete by the end of FY 2008.
My Shipmate told me that we can complete required GMT topics on the USTC Portal to satisfy similar NKO requirements?
Fact! The USTC Portal has several GMT items we must complete annually. They are found on the left side of the portal home page in the Training folder. USTC “Annual Security Awareness Training” satisfies IAA. USTC “Annual Anti-Terror Awareness Training” satisfies the ATFP requirement. Simply complete the USTC Portal training and email CDR Barney (kirkbarney@yahoo.com) or just inform CDRs Heim or Barney at drill we will sign you off in NKO.
I can’t wait to get started, where do I find all this great GMT stuff?
1. Log onto Navy Knowledge Online (NKO) at https://wwwa.nko.navy.mil/ 2. Under LEARNING across the top of the page, click on “Navy e-Learning”. 3. On the left side of the e-Learning page under CONTENT, click “Browse Categories”. 4. Click “Dept of the Navy (DON) Training”. 5. Click “General Military Training”. 6. Click on FY-08 GMT Training 7. Click on the course you wish to complete. 8. Click “Enroll”. The course will be uploaded to your “MY ENROLLMENTS” tab. 9. On the “MY ENROLLMENTS” tab, click “Launch”. 10. Complete the course and take the test (if applicable). 11. Check the MY TRANSCRIPTS tab to verify the training was recorded as complete.
Should I do ATFP CONUS or OCONUS?
Great question! Only one of the Anti Terror Force Protection (ATFP) courses needs to be completed (two are listed). OCONUS is intended for those individuals traveling out of the Continental US. The other is labeled CONUS. If you plan on leaving the US, OCONUS ATPF must be completed. If not, just do the CONUS training. Only one needs to be complete to receive full credit.
Where do I find the ORM for Supervisors training, I was up all night looking for it?
Almost impossible to find, this required training is officially called “ORM All Navy Essentials for Leaders Course”. (Course ID – CNET11969) From Navy E-learning, click on “Advanced Search” on the left of the screen. Then search for the “Catalog Code” of CNET11969. As always just click on the course and enroll.
There are many Diversity training courses in NKO, which one should I do?
The training is listed as "Diversity for All Hands Training”.
There are different Code of Conduct (COC) courses listed in NKO, which one should I do? Didn’t we have (2) COC courses to do just last year?
Yes, most of us did COC ‘A’ and ‘B’ in FY-07 when they were due. The COC listed on the matrix this year is the same COC level ‘B’ as last year. This is the big one which takes multiple hours to complete. If you did it last year you are in great shape. If the matrix shows you NOT complete you are a bad person who needs to complete this ASAP. If you feel you already did this training, contact the GMT team with documentation and we will update NKO.
I thought I was doing FY-08 training but was actually doing FY-07. Did I just waste my entire Spring Break?
No! As long as you did the training in FY-08, the understanding folks on the GMT team can fix this; just email us the particulars. The training usually doesn’t change from year to year but FY-07 training won’t automatically update the Completion Report.
If you have any questions on how to access the different topics or what exactly you still need to complete, please contact either CDR Kirk Barney at 610-858-0261 / kirkbarney@yahoo.com or CDR Todd Heim at FiveHeims@cinci.rr.com / 513-850-2706.
Happy Training!
